Eclectic Institute Wheatgrass Juice

Eclectic Institute Wheatgrass Juice is natures Energy in a Bottle Premium wheatgrass organically grown in natural soil, sunlight, and rain, then instantly juiced and freeze-dried at the peak of potency. Traditionally used as a cleanser and blood builder.

The young sprouts of the wheat berry yield a highly nutritious, rejuvenating and cleansing juice. Our process involves instant freezing with liquid nitrogen (LN2) to -320 F followed by freeze-drying under extreme vacuum and cold. This preserves the complex array of vitamins, minerals, chlorophylls, antioxidants and active enzymes found in fresh wheatgrass juice. Eclectic's organic wheatgrass juice POW-der represents a 25-fold concentration over the original juice. The bulk powder is highly water-soluble and may be reconstituted in water, juices or smoothies.

Eclectic Institute Organic Wheatgrass Juice Powder is a superior quality product in a convenient and stable form. They start by planting and growing hard-red winter wheat on our certified organic farm. We never use tray grown wheatgrass, which has limited value because of the lack of full spectrum light and the poor root development in greenhouse soil mixes. The wheatgrass is hand harvested 14 to 18 days after sprouting just prior to the jointing stage when nutrients have peaked. The cut wheatgrass is immediately transported to our processing facility where it is washed in an ozonated cold-water bath, then juiced through a screw-press.

Wheatgrass juice is highly perishable, so within seconds of juicing the dark green liquid is frozen with liquid nitrogen (LN2) to 320 F to prevent any decomposition. The frozen juice is then loaded into our freeze-driers where the water is removed through the process of sublimation under extreme vacuum and cold. This process preserves not only the complex array of vitamins, minerals, chlorophylls and antioxidant compounds found in fresh wheatgrass juice, but also maintains enzymes in an active state.

The finished product is a dark-green finely divided powder with a grassy smell and neutral taste. Just 1.2 g (1/2 tsp or 3, 400 mg capsules) of powder contains all the nutrients of a 1 oz shot of wheatgrass juice. The bulk powder is highly water-soluble and may be reconstituted in water, juices, smoothies or food.
