Eclectic Institute Ginkgo

Ginkgo increases cerebral blood flow and seems to be particularly effective in the prevention of age related cognitive decline and tinnitis.

Ginkgo is one of the most ancient living tree species, believed by the Chinese to promote longevity. Ginkgo has been called the Fountain of Youth and is also known as The Memory Herb. Research has shown that ginkgo supports cerebral blood flow, promotes mental sharpness, enhances brain function, and supports healthy aging and circulation.

Ginkgo has two groups of active components. Terpenoids (ginkgolides and bilobalide) which are inhibitors of platelet activating factor, and flavonoids (quercetin, kaempferol plus many others) that have potent antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties.

WHY THE WHOLE LEAF?

While many of ginkgo's constituents have intrinsic pharmacological effects individually, there is evidence that the components work synergistically to produce more potent pharmacological effects than any individual compound. At Eclectic we believe that the more you extract, standardize, and concentrate one component at the expense of another, the further you get from nature and the closer you get to a drug...so we leave our herbs as pure as nature intended.

WHY FREEZE-DRIED?

Freeze-drying removes only the water from the leaf, preserving the activity, color, aroma and taste as close to the natural fresh state as possible.

WHY ORGANIC GOLDEN GINKGO?

In a commitment to sustainability, Eclectic Institute's raw materials are grown on our beautiful 90 acre organic farm, locally wildcrafted, or obtained from other organic farms whenever possible. The organic ginkgo leaves that we use are estate grown locally on a small farm in Oregon and fall harvested by hand at the peak of potency. Ginkgo should not be taken with anticoagulant medications.

Suggested Use

1-3 capsules per day.

Each Capsule Contains: Organic Ginkgo (Ginkgo Biloba) leaf, 100% fresh freeze-dried, 500 mg. Average Assay: 7.2 mg Ginkgo flavonols (1.45%).

Discontinue use if unusual symptoms occur. Consult your health care advisor regarding the use of this product during pregnancy, with infants, or with prescription drugs.
Ginkgo products should not be combined with anticoagulant medications.
